Long ago God made a promise to Abraham. Long ago God brought the people from Egypt to the land of the new covenant.  Long ago Jesus was born in a stable, growing up with the Psalms as his prayerbook.  Long ago Jesus walked among peoples on this planet.  Long ago Jesus walked in the desert, the wilderness.  Long ago Jesus was crucified to fulfill the scriptures and a new covenant  was birthed.  The women went to the tomb and found it empty.  Jesus the Christ is Risen!  The darkness is shattered, the grave clothes are thrown aside.  The chains of death are broken proclaiming the Easter dawn, Christ is Risen!  Stories of long ago are the affirmation of NOW, TODAY.......sunrise service will be celebrated at Veteran's Park, off RiverRoad, with folk gathering at 6:45 am.   Afterwards a light breakfast will be served at First Presbyterian Chruch on the Edge, 710 Undercliff Ave and Sterling Place.  Come and celebrate the dance!   Christ is Risen INDEED!!!

The Rev. Dr. Wanda M. Lundy announces the worship service, 10:30am, will continue the celebration.  Preaching will be Rev. Joseph D. Keesecker, director, Agricultural Missions, Inc.  Curtis Lundy and the Spiritual Lights Jazz Trio will participate.  A joyful sharing of lunch will continue the celebration after the worship time.  Call: 201.224.9116 for more information.  Prayer requests may be left there, or e-mail to churchontheedge@nj.rr.com.
